How Will I Be Assessed
It is divided into three equal units: People in Business Investigating a Business Accounts. The Accounts module is externally assessed by an examination and is worth 33% of the final award. The other two units are assessed by the candidates providing a portfolio based on real businesses. These are worth 33% each.
Future Opportunities
This GCSE provides a vocationally related qualification which covers both Level 1/Foundation and Level 2/Intermediate of the National Qualifications Framework. It has been designed to provide a broad education as a foundation both for training leading to employment, and for further and higher education. It provides an excellent foundation for a number of career and A Level choices at 16, including Business Studies, Accounting, Marketing, and Leisure and Tourism.
