How Will I Be Assessed
This qualification comprises three units. 66.7% through internal assessment of portfolio evidence from assignments. 33.3% through one externally assessed written exam.
Future Opportunities
This qualification is designed to enable you to enter employment at operative or technician level within a wide range of science environments. You may also wish to go on to attain an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a science related subject in post-sixteen institutions.
Further Information

This qualification is worth two GCSE grades A* - G.  Pupils entered for Foundation Paper for the external written exam can obtain grades C to G.  The Higher Paper is targeted at grades A* - D.   The final qualification grade awarded will be independent of tier.
