What will I Learn?
Using the programs IMOVIE, IDVD, AND GARAGEBAND in a Multimedia room using i-mac computers, you will learn the skills of film-making: Pre-Production - Script writing, shooting scripts, storyboards. Production - Use of the camcorder, shot types, lighting, sound. Post-Production - Continuity, editing, cutting, DVD authoring. There will also be the analysis of films, their codes and conventions; informing you in your own productions.
How will I be Assessed
The course will operate under GCSE Fine Art and will have the following structure: 60% Coursework. 40% Terminal Exam (4 weeks Preparation, 10hr Timed Test.)

By opting for this subject you will need to be dedicated and able to put in the extra hours regularly after school that film making ultimately demands.
