How Will I Be Assessed
In order to gain a GCSE in either Fine Art or graphics, the candidates must exhibit their work. The exhibition will consist of: 1. Preparation, and final pieces from the topics which the student will have produced for their coursework (Years 10 and 11). 2. The preparation work for an examination piece. That is the ideas, drawings, photographs, etc., which are done in the twenty days after receiving the question paper and before the examination piece is done. 3. The examination final piece, which can be done in any material as a piece of art or design. Students will be allowed 10 hours to complete this work using the preparation work previously done. Marks will be allocated: Coursework = 60% Examination = 40%
