This course is designed for learners wanting to acquire knowledge and develop skills within the broad context of the IT and Telecommunications sector. The employer-endorsed content is up-to-date and relevant, reflecting the blend of business, technical, interpersonal and project skills needed by someone who is thinking about a career in the IT and Telecoms sector. • Technology systems used in business • Impact of technology on organisations, individuals and society • Design and build small-scale technology systems, including databases and networks • Acquire the knowledge and skills to create effective multimedia products • How to manage and deliver successful IT projects • Teamwork, communication and problem solving skills. This diploma is equivalent to 3.5 'A' levels.  

Minimum of six GCSEs at grade C or better, which must include English and Maths or a Level 2 vocational IT qualification equivalent to four GCSEs plus Level 2 Key Skills in Communications and Numeracy or progression from a Level 2 Diploma in IT.
